Minister sees role for Midwest in US-China trade

CHICAGO — China's commerce minister says he foresees Midwestern states playing a big role in future trade between his country and the United States.

Chen Deming spoke Friday at the U.S.-China Trade and Economic Cooperation Forum in Chicago. He says Midwest states' agricultural and manufacturing products are a strong complements to China. He also said Chinese investment in the region could help boost the U.S. Economy.
